On July 20, 2017, authorization ceremony of the first licensed companies and launching of the first licensed product in Beijing International Horticultural Exposition opened in Shougang Sports Building. During the event, 10 licensed companies in Beijing International Horticultural Exposition were given the authorization certificates, and 150 licensed products were launched for the first time.

It is reported that the first group of licensed products cover 10 categories: horticultural items, derivatives of mascot culture, handicrafts, badges, stationaries, home products, clothes and accessories, postal articles, commemorative coins, and precious metals. With “green life and beautiful home” being the main theme, these 150 products were launched to promote science, environment protection, innovation, and the visual image of Beijing International Horticultural Exposition.

It is worth mentioning that these licensed products not only are innovative and finely made with basic functionalities but also have good matching features with the Expo, good technological content and good appearances. Most of them were designed to be green or blue, like the mountains and rivers, reflecting natural harmony and the organic combination of technology and environment protection. And these products can help promote an ecological culture of respecting, following and protection the nature.

Several star products are both innovative and interesting. Products like “blossom 2019” commemorative puzzle medal, “singing flower pot”, “incense wooden box” and “desk lamp that can water your plant” are perfect combination of technology and environment protection. They can help promote an ecological culture of respecting, following and protection the nature.

Our journalist on site learned that the first licensed products of the Expo were expected to enter market in Q3 this year, primarily in stores and outlets in Gongmei Building in Wangfujing, Beijing National Stadium, Badaling on the Great Wall, and Yanqing District.

In addition, Beijing International Horticultural Exposition Coordination Bureau would launch online sales on mainstream e-commerce platforms in China so that more consumers can have access to the licensed products in Beijing International Horticultural Exposition.

Ye Dahua, deputy director of Beijing International Horticultural Exposition Coordination Bureau, introduced the products: “Launching our first products is another important work in Beijing International Horticultural Exposition. It marks the beginning of market development for the Expo. The next step would be to initiate, in due time and based on market demand, the second round of enrollment of companies to be licensed, giving full play to the overall benefit of licensed products, so the public can learn about, recognize and cherish the Expo through the licensed products.”

It is learned that licensed product development has been initiated in the beginning of the year. The first licensed producers were selected after enrollment, review and approval, and the results were published on April 24 this year. Finally, 10 companies, namely Beijing Fanrong Culture Development Co., Ltd, Beijing Yuanlong Yato Culture Development Co., Ltd, Beijing Gongmei Group, Beijing Huajiang Culture Development Co., Ltd, Beijing Tiancai Textile and Garment Co., Ltd, China National Arts & Crafts (Group) Corp., Shenzhen Gold 100 Art Corp., Yunnan Xintong Culture Development Co., Ltd, Baoquan Coin Investment Co., Ltd, and Beijing Badaling Tourism General Co. stood out and became the suppliers of Beijing International Horticultural Exposition’s first licensed products.
